A month ago I asked you to help me make the decision on which antimalarial to take. To my astonishment at least four people turn out to have read my blog. Admittedly one of these people thinks I'm already so crazy that taking Larium wouldn't make any difference, and the response of one seems to have been "feed Jules weird things", but to my relief two think I should take doxycycline. Which I would have done anyway.

er...i seem to have missed the voting but I took Malarone and had no problems. However, it may only be good for stopping the beasties from the far-east. Not too clued up on African beasties and drugs to stop em.

Loving the blog by the way. Keep it up!

Thanks Katie! (blushes) If you like my blog you'll have to read it here now, Facebook threatened to suspend my account for spamming because I imported too many notes (seethe) so I've stopped importing it.

Malarone is apparently not recommended for trips of more than a month, I have read about some people taking it for longer but I'm going to be a good girl and do what I'm told for a change. Also, while I wouldn't be too worried about pushing something recommended for a month to three months, I'll be going back for six months next year and I'd like to have tried the antimalarial I take then in advance
